The country of Jordan is around 95% percent Muslim, most all of them being a Sunni follower, while some following Shiite and Salafi. Noting that, Jordan is a strongly influenced Muslim country. The Islam faith was started/founded by Muhammad. Muhammad started the faith when he was "called upon" by God himself to spread and teach this new religion, which really means submission. I put called upon in quotations because many believe he wasn't really called upon, more so that he just was hallucinating or had a revelation. The faith was thought to have started around the 7th century. The main holy book that they utilize to exercise their rules in the religion is called the Qur'an. The Qur'an was a book meant to correct the errors in older holy books like the Old and New Testaments. There are also 5 important Pillars Of Faith that direct what every single person of the Muslim faith must do if they really believe. The first pillar is called Shahada, which is directing people to recite their profession of faith. The second pillar is named Salat, which is telling people to say proper prayers 5 times a day. The third pillar is identified as Zakat, where you have to pay a charity "fee" to help support the poor and the needy. The fourth, almost last, is called Sawm, which directs you to fast during the month of Ramadan. Finally, the last/fifth pillar is known as Hajj, which is noting that you have to make a pilgrimage to Mecca for a huge prayer every year. All in all, Jordan is a very Islamic-influenced country and is very familiar with all stated above.
