The History Of Jordan

Just like every other country, Jordan has not always been recognized as a country.  Jordan was recognized to be a country in 1946.  When Jordan was "founded", it was known as an independent sovereign kingdom.  It was then led by King Abdullah who was the leader of a Jordan "monarch".  King Abdullah was the leader for quite some time, but then he was said to be assassinated because of an angry Palestinian gunman in July of 1951.  His predecessor, named King Talal, had then taken the job.  King Talal did not last long because he was soon declared mentally unfit and was kicked out.  After him, his predecessor, King Hussein had taken charge in 1952 and was king for quite a long time.  He was king from 1952 to 1999, his death.  Jumping quite far into 1994, Jordan signs a peace treaty with Israel ending a 46-year state war.  With all that said, Jordan hasn't been and still isn't an organized country.  This history shows what challenges Jordan has been through and survived.
